Reading & listening to a book
Storybook reads like a real book — pages that flip, chapters you can jump between, and a narrator that reads each page aloud.
Open a book
- From your library, tap any cover to see its details — scenes, length, and a short blurb.
- Press Open the book to start reading.
Turning pages
- Mobile: swipe left for the next page, right for the previous.
- Desktop: click the arrows on either side of the book, or use the
←/→keys. PressFfor a bigger, full-screen book.
Listening to the narration
Press the play control in the narrator bar to hear the current page read aloud. The built-in fairy tale uses a warm recorded voice; books you write are read by your device's voice.
- Press play/pause any time, or tap the spacebar on desktop.
- Turn on auto-flip and the book turns to the next page when narration finishes — hands-free story time.
Tip. The reader remembers where you left off. Close it and come back later — you'll reopen on the same page.
Jumping between scenes
Open Contents (the list icon) to see every scene with a one-line summary. Tap one to jump straight there. The progress rail at the bottom does the same — each dot is a scene.
Bookmarks & settings
- Bookmark a page with the ribbon icon to save your favourite spots — find them later under Bookmarks.
- Text size and narrator options live in the reading settings (the gear on desktop, the Me tab on mobile).
